LaKita is a dedicated Program Facilitator with a strong commitment to empowering young girls and strengthening communities. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, LaKita understands firsthand the importance of access to opportunity, mentorship, and positive support systems for youth growing up in urban communities.

 

LaKita earned her bachelor’s degree in criminology with a minor in Forensic Behavioral Healthcare from the University of South Florida. Her academic background, combined with her professional experience in social services and criminal justice, has shaped her passion for advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement. She brings a unique perspective to her work, understanding the importance of early support, guidance, and positive role models in helping young people navigate challenges and pursue meaningful futures.

 

As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., LaKita is deeply committed to service, scholarship, sisterhood, and social action. Her involvement reflects her dedication to uplifting communities and creating opportunities for the next generation of young women.

 

Through her work as a Program Facilitator, LaKita strives to help young girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and recognize their full potential. She is passionate about ensuring that young girls have access to the same encouragement, opportunities, and mentorship that helped shape her own journey.

 

LaKita is proud to give back to the community that raised her and remains committed to helping young girls discover their strengths, embrace their voices, and build bright futures for themselves.
