About the Program
In School / After School Programming
Through public speaking opportunities, hands-on project based learning and passionate mentoring we see our ladies lose their nervousness and become more confident about who they are and what they stand for.
Date & Time
We meet once a week for one hour.
GEMS (4th – 8th grade)
QUEENS (9th – 12th grade)
Ladies of Virtue participants should:
Maintain good attendance (can only miss up to 6 sessions)
Complete service learning project
Complete LOV success tracker with their mentor
Prior to joining Ladies of Virtue, potential participants must attend a mandatory information session to understand what is required. We do not select girls based on academic achievements. Decisions are based on willingness to participate in all LOV activities, commitment to maintain good attendance, positive attitude and the number of openings available for the upcoming year. We target girls who are first generation college students, qualify for free/reduced lunch, and lacks social capital to help them navigate their journey during and after high-school.
During our 9-month program year, LOV Participants:
Complete 35+ hours in leadership development training
Have opportunity to attend 3+ college tours (6th to 12th grade)
