Taijah Al-Faruqi

Program Facilitator

Taijah Al Faruqi Bio.jpg

Taijah Al-Faruqi serves as a Program Facilitator for Ladies of Virtue’s Saturday Programs, supporting young women through engaging, relationship-centered experiences that build confidence, encourage exploration, and foster personal growth.

A proud South Side Chicago native and Howard University graduate, Taijah developed her passion for youth programming and mentorship while serving as a resident assistant in an all-girls freshman residence hall. That experience strengthened her interest in helping young people build community, navigate transitions, and feel supported as they grow.

Taijah has worked with youth across a range of educational and developmental settings, from early childhood programs and after-school initiatives to high school and post-secondary support. Most recently, she spent four years at Chicago Tech Academy, first as an Assistant Dean of Students and later as a Post-Secondary and Alumni Support Coordinator. In those roles, she helped students explore college and career pathways and continued supporting graduates as they transitioned beyond high school.

Across her work, Taijah is passionate about creating experiences that help young people discover their interests, recognize their strengths, and see new possibilities for themselves. Through her work with Ladies of Virtue, she brings that same care, creativity, and commitment to supporting girls as they build confidence and pursue their goals.

Outside of work, Taijah enjoys reading mysteries, Harry Potter, graphic design, and arts and crafts.
