LOV Mentor Nina Shares Inspirational Story of LOV Mom Who Graduated from High-School at 62

Ladies of Virtue has been an inspiration for both myself and my mentee. Tamera started with Ladies of Virtue while she was in 7th grade. I have seen her blossom into a beautiful young lady. As she begins her sophomore year in high school, I’m looking forward to seeing her prosper and achieve her goals with Ladies of Virtue. Our mentor and mentee relationship started off rocky due to the lack of trust and not knowing what to expect but since interacting with Tamera and getting to know her, our relationship has become a bond that I will always treasure. Tamera’s mom and I also have a beautiful relationship. Mrs. Fannie and my relationship has been is truly build on trust and honestly. When I first met Mrs. Fannie, I instantly knew that she was a true gem. I love being a part of her family and she treats me like one of her daughters. Mrs. Fannie has been a true inspiration as well, as she recently received her High School diploma. It was an honor to be invited but most of all, it meant a lot to spent that time with her on your special day. Seeing Mrs. Fannie receive her diploma made me realize that no matter what age you are, you can still achieve your goals. As she walked down the aisle with her graduating class, it was an amazing sight to see how proud she was when she received her diploma. At the age of 62, Mrs. Fannie said it best “It’s never too late to achieve your goals.” Mrs. Fannie is truly a woman of virtue and it has been a pleasure getting to know her and her family.
